The Benders are a frenetic, five piece stringband in the midst of Boston's rock scene. They released 3 albums between 2000 - 2004 and toured the United States much of this time.  Gaining national recognition following a feature in No Depression magazine, The Benders built a following playing anywhere and everywhere, and hosting their own shows at VFW Halls.   Their their third album, Mountain Radio, was released on punk label Pigpile Records. In 2008, they reunited for 3 sold out shows at the Middle Earth Music Hall  in Vermont and again at the 2010 Tweed River Music Festival in Stockbridge, VT. The song “Mountain Radio,” written by Jabe Beyer, was featured on the HBO hit show True Blood in Season 3.
