Old Mason's Bridge
I went walkin’ in the woods one night
Knew right away it didn’t feel right
Turned around looked over my back
Saw somebody walkin’ in my tracks
I went and took old mason’s bridge
Thought I’d lose him up on the ridge
Maybe I could disappear in the trees
And leave that man lost in the breeze
The moon was shining like a spotlight
Down on a stage where the set ain’t right
before I could even turn my head
I went down like a bag of lead
I hit the ground with a big ole’ thud
Hands to my head I could feel the blood
I got up with style and grace and I introduced
My knee to his face
He got in just one more hit
But when you’re angry you just see red
I reached down and I grabbed my gun
That man’ll never see another risin’ sun
Now I never sent no man to the grave
But that man never learned how to behave
Took his body rolled it in a rug
And I never went back to that hole I dug
